Collect all urine over a 24-hr period in provided light-proof, 24-Hour Urine Collection Container. Empty your bladder when you first get up in the morning. Start collecting from the second void on the first day, record time. Refrigerate urine during collection and record total volume. Do not place the container in an area with bright light or in direct sunlight.
Thoroughly mix the sample by gently swirling and inverting the collection jug 10 times.
Immediately after mixing, transfer 50 mL urine to a urine transport container. Secure the lid of the urine transport container to ensure that the sample does not leak in transit. Record the total volume of the sample on the urine transport container. Sample should be refrigerated for transport.
