Test Includes

IFA Pattern. If IFA patterns suggest agna-1, amphiphysin AB, anna-1, anna-2, anna-3, pca-1, pca-2 or pca-tr antibodies, then immunoblot and titer will be performed. If vgkc is above 0.00 nmol/l, then lgi1 IgG and caspr2 IgG cba will be performed. If crmp-5-IgG is Positive, then crmp-5 wb and titer will be performed. Additional charges will apply for all reflex testing performed.

Collection Instructions

Collect 4 mL serum from a plain red top tube. Allow sample to clot in an upright position for at least 60 minutes, then centrifuge sample and transfer serum to a plastic transport tube within 2 hours of collection. Clearly label tube as serum from a plain red top tube. Refrigerate.

Alternative Specimen

4 mL serum. Allow SST to clot in an upright position for at least 30 minutes, then centrifuge sample within 2 hours of collection. Refrigerate.
