Test Includes

When ANA is Positive, will reflex to ANA Titer and Pattern, Chromatin IgG AB, dsDNA AB, RNP AB and sm AB as level one.
If all level one testing is Negative, Will reflex to Jo-1 AB, scl-70 AB, ssa/ssb AB as level two.
If all level one and level two testing is Negative, will reflex to Centromere B and Ribosomal P AB.
Additional charges will apply for all reflex testing performed.

Methodology

Indirect immunofluorescent assay (IFA) with human epithelial (hep-2) cell line substrate reflex antibody testing method is multiplex flow immunoassay.

Collection Instructions

Allow SST to clot in an upright position for
at least 30 minutes, then centrifuge sample within 2 hours
of collection

Alternative Specimen

6 mL serum from a plain red top tube. Allow sample to clot in an upright position for at least 60 minutes, then centrifuge sample and transfer serum to a plastic transport tube within 2 hours of collection. Clearly label tube as serum from a plain red top tube.
